Biography

I have Been A Fashion Photographer, Graphic Designer, film maker, creative Director and Artist.

I am a multidisciplinary artist, photographer and graphic designer. I have worked as a fashion photographer for 30 years starting in the early 1980’s, but most recently I have focused on figurative artwork brought to life with acrylics on canvas and wood panels.

Born in Fairfield, Connecticut in 1954 I grew up in the middle of the “Peace & Love Woodstock Generation” and was influenced by and developed an appreciation for Pop art, impressionist art, fashion and glamour photography.

Pursuing my dream to be a photographer, I moved to Santa Barbara. CA to study photography at Brooks Institute of Photography. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts Degree I began working at a Modeling Agency in Newport Beach, CA. where I had a revelation: I loved photographing women! Later I collaborated with a Talent Agent searching for potential models and actors. During that time I began developing my style shooting women and one of my personal favorites was “The Dramatic Headshot” where I could explore the appreciation and love of the female face.

After 30 years, thousands of faces and approximately 1 million photos later I went back to Collage and took – art history, drawing, cinematography and graphic design. I worked at a Design Agency for a few years. And worked on movie sets as a gaffer, best boy and second assistant DP for a few years.

So, after all this experience and combining my love of the female face, pop art, graphic design and the 60’s aesthetic and guided by the feelings and experiences remembered from those years I have created characteristically bold, playful and surreal original artwork aimed to create a Mysterious and powerful attraction. “As you look into their eyes you will be hypnotized and put into a trance and pulled into their gaze.”
